Description
County School of Dancing
We pride ourselves on being able to cater for everyone, from 18 months to 80+, complete beginner to experienced professional, or perhaps you just want to have fun, socialise and do a little light exercise. You can be assured of a warm welcome, so why not take the plunge and come to one of our classes.
History
The County School of Dancing was taken over by Molly Richardson in 1957. Her daughter Mary Richardson, the current owner has run the School since 1966. The School is well established in the UK and has a reputation for teaching excellence producing some of the top young dancers in recent years.
It doesn’t only cater for competitors however. Every night of the week there are classes for Beginners and Improvers in both Latin and Ballroom. Monthly tea dances are held so that you have somewhere to practice your skills, and the School hosts 2 Black Tie functions a year often with a live band and cabaret, so that you can enjoy a glamorous evening!
The County School also has a celebrity connection as Ian Waite, one of the stars of the BBC’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ trained for over 8 years with Mary and is still based at the County School.
The County prides itself on always having several qualified teachers present at every class. This means there is always the ability to correctly demonstrate the steps and someone on hand to help. It also gives us the opportunity, if necessary, to divide the class into groups. Therefore children are free to progress at their own pace.
Great atmosphere - lots of learning, lots of fun!
Join at anytime - no need to wait to start at the beginning of a term
NO term fees – so you only pay when you attend - that′s fair
Great value - 45 minute classes costing only £4.00, only £2.00 for any additional class
Great exercise – Dancing is brilliant because it challenges both body and mind
Make friends - Lots of social interaction for both children and their parents/guardians
