Description
Martin Weisberg and Tim Lancaster started The Bracknell Cavaliers Football Club in 1985 as the managers of two teams, the under 8's and under 9's respectively. Why The Bracknell Cavaliers, well, most of the people involved in the formation of the club were driving Vauxhall Cavaliers. We could have been called The Bracknell Cortinas or Jaguars!
In 2006 the Cavaliers were one of the first clubs in the area to become a Charter Standard Club. In 2009 the Cavaliers became the the first club in the Bracknell area to be awarded Charter Standard Club Development Status by the Berks & Bucks FA.
After 16 great seasons at St. Sebastian's the Cavaliers moved to Easthampstead Park School in 2011. This gave the club 5 pitches instead of the 3 at St. Sebs. The current configurations of these pitches are 11 a-side, 9 a-side, 2 x 7 a-side and 5 a-side. EP is also the winter training venue for the club on the new large 3G Astro pitch as well as the home of the very popular summer tournament.
