Welcome to The Olivia Dance Academy
IMG_335220 years ago, when I gave up my professional dance career to concentrate on teaching, I never imagined that I would get so much fulfilment out of introducing children of all ages and ability to the joy of dance.
When I started the academy one of my guiding principles was to make dance fun. Yes, dancing is hard work but it gives you so many life skills – confidence, dedication and motivation to name a few!
The Academy has a broad range of courses that cover Ballet, Tap & Modern which we run from several locations in the area. We work closely with the ISTD and prepare children for the ISTD exams if this is their chosen route (more can be found on the ISTD website). We put on regular school productions including variety shows at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Shaftsbury Avenue which give children an amazing opportunity to perform on a ‘big’ London stage – this is the same theatre that stage The Phantom Of The Opera. We also stage regular shows in the Bearwood Theatre, Wokingham and the Wilde Theatre, Bracknell.
